Take the Oceans of Possibilities Teen Summer Reading Challenge! Earn prizes and goodies just by reading. The first 20 registrants will receive a free bag with goodies and two books of their choice!
How it Works
Log your reading activity and earn more points playing mini games and completing missions in ReadSquared. For every 100 points, you win prize(s) and a chance to win the grand prize basket. Earn a 1000 points, you win a squid hat and become a certified Summer Reader!
For a full list of prizes, visit the 2nd floor reference desk. All grand prize basket raffle tickets must be entered at the 2nd floor reference desk by Saturday, August 27, 2022. The winner of the grand prize basket will be announced and contacted after Monday, August 29, 2022.
How to Register
To start your journey, sign up online or download the Readsquared app (available in the Google Play Store and the App Store). In-person registration is also available at the 2nd floor reference desk in the Main Library.
Take a break from reading by joining our special summer reading programs! Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, June 25, 10 am – 12 pm at the Library Green entrance of the library. Make your own paper plate shark jaw and enjoy the other festivities at the park.
Afterwards, start your summer with a hydrating water balloon fight and an infused drink class. Then come in and enjoy a STEAM-filled summer of coding, building, and digital drawing classes. Programs are held Fridays, 3 pm – 5 pm in the Teen Room unless otherwise specified. Registration required for coding and digital drawing classes. See you there!

GRAB & GO SUMMER READING BAGS
Want to chill out and relax at home? Have nothing to do? Come to the 2nd floor reference desk of the Main Library and nab a Grab & Go Summer Reading Bag. It’s a bag full of free books, crafts (with instructions!), bookmarks, snacks and other goodies that will keep you entertained during this summer.
Read when you like.
Make a craft when you like.
