Become a T. Rex-Cellent Reader by completing 500 Minutes of Summer Reading!

Join the prehysteric fun with our Unearth a Story Summer Reading Challenge & read 500 minutes by the end of the summer to earn stickers, prizes & chances to win one of our Grand Prizes!

Instructions: Each time you read 10 minutes or have someone read to you for 10 minutes, color a space on your Unearth a Story Gameboard. If you finish the entire Gameboard with all 50 spaces colored and covered, that adds up to 500 minutes of reading over the summer! 10 minutes x 50 spaces = 500 minutes!

Don’t forget! On your 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th & 50th spaces, come to the Main Library Children’s Room or the Huguenot Children’s Library to collect:
- A special sticker for your Unearth a Story Gameboard
- A prize
- A raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our Special End-of-Summer Grand Prizes!

Completing the entire Gameboard increases your chances of winning one of the Grand Prizes!

If you prefer to track your reading electronically (instead of using the Gameboard), you can use the ReadSquared App (available in the Google Play Store and App Store) or online at nrplny12.readsquared.com. You will have to come into the library to collect your stickers and prizes and to pick up and submit your Grand Prize raffle tickets.

Our Unearth a Story Grand Prize Winners will be chosen on Monday, September 14th. To be eligible for the Grand Prize, all raffle tickets must be turned into the library before September 14th.

A child can earn up to 5 raffle tickets over the summer. Children are welcome to receive additional Gameboards after completing their first Gameboard. However, they will not be eligible to receive additional raffle tickets beyond their initial 5 tickets.

Quick Rules for How to Play:

1. Read for 10 minutes and color in a square
2. Visit the Library every time you complete your 10th space. You will get: 

1. 1. A special Gameboard sticker 
   2. A prize 
   3. A raffle ticket

Si en lugar de usar el tablero de juegos prefieres un seguimiento de lectura electrónico y usar la aplicación de ReadSquared, la aplicación está disponible en (Google Play Store y App Store) o en línea en: nrplny12.readsquared.com. Solamente recuerda venir a la biblioteca a recoger tus premios. Completar el tablero de juegos incrementa tus probabilidades de ganar el gran premio especial de fin de verano.

¡Recuerda; mientras más leas, más oportunidades tienes de ganar! Los boletos para la rifa deben entregarse antes del día 14 de Septiembre; ya que en este día se anunciará a los ganadores del gran premio final.

Recuerda que solamente eres acreedor a 5 boletos para la rifa final. Sin embargo puedes llenar más de 1 tablero de juego.
