Teen Summer Reading 2026

Take the “Unearth a Story™” Teen Summer Reading Challenge! Earn prizes and goodies just by reading or attending teen programs. The first 100 registrants will receive a free sports bag with goodies, a book of their choice, and 3 raffle tickets!

How it Works

Log your reading activity and earn more points playing mini games and completing missions in ReadSquared. You may also attend teen programs! For every 100 points or attending 5 teen programs, you win prizes and a chance to win a grand prize basket (or more!). Earn a 1000 points or attend 25 teen programs to become a certified Summer Reader!

For a full list of prizes, visit the 2nd floor staff desk. All grand prize basket raffle tickets must be entered at the 2nd floor staff desk by Saturday, August 29, 2026. The winner of the grand prize baskets will be announced and contacted Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

How to Register

To start your journey, sign up online or download the Readsquared app (available in the Google Play Store and the App Store). In-person registration is also available at the 2nd floor staff desk in the Main Library. 

Teen Summer Reading Programs

Take a break from reading by joining our special summer reading programs! Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, June 13, 10 am - 12 pm at the Library Green entrance of the library. Register for the program and make a dinosaur scratch art!

Afterwards, start your summer with laser tag then come in and enjoy a string of food, games, and crafting programs. Programs are held Fridays, 3 pm - 5 pm in the Teen Room unless otherwise specified. See you there!
