Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the New Rochelle Public Library! Your time, energy, talent, and commitment to helping the library continue to provide great service to the community is appreciated.
Things to Note
- The library’s teen services pertain to those in grades 6 – 12. For those who graduated high school and would like to volunteer at our organization, please call us at (914) 632-7878 for more information.
- All teen volunteers are expected to be able to work independently.
- Due to the amount of teens interested in volunteering with us, priority is given to teen residents of New Rochelle.
- Additionally, due to the aforementioned reason, the number of hours a volunteer may fulfill with us is capped at 20 hours.
- If you have a certain amount of community service hours to fulfill by a certain date, please apply ASAP.
- Completion of the application process does not guarantee a position as a volunteer. Our ability to take in volunteers is dependent on the number of volunteers we currently have as well as the number of tasks available for our volunteers to complete.

How to Apply
The application is your first step towards completing your service hours:
- The application will begin with the library’s teen program guidelines. Please read through the expectations of all our volunteers.

- If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian’s name and contact information MUST be included.
Once you have completed the application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt from our Teen Services Librarian and information regarding availability.
