Free Tax Prep Help at the Library
Tax assistance for this year has now ended. Thank you to our AARP Tax Aide Advisors who helped over 1,200 people with their 2023 tax returns. Check back in January for 2024 tax assistance dates.
Free tax assistance through AARP Tax Aide Advisors is offered at the New Rochelle Public Library. Trained AARP volunteer counselors will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm during tax season. These sessions will be held in the Library’s Meeting Room and on the stage of the Theater, except during school vacation weeks, when they will be held in the Community Gallery. Tax filers are advised to arrive early, as they will meet with a tax advisor on a drop-in, first-come, first-served basis. The Library opens at 9:00 am on these days. Tax filers arriving before 9:00 am may line up at the Lawton Street entrance to the Library. The AARP Tax Aide assistance program is free. Tax preparers have all the necessary forms to complete e-filing.
