Important Library Information

  • Huguenot Children’s Library Walkway Replacement We’re giving our beloved commemorative walkway at Huguenot Children’s Library a fresh start! Laid over 25 years ago, the brick tiles have reached the end of their service life and must be replaced to keep everyone safe.

Starting the week of May 19, we’ll begin installing a new, level, fully accessible pathway—which will take about three weeks.  We understand you may have questions. Please read our HCL Walkway Replacement FAQs to learn more.

We are deeply grateful to the donors whose names have long welcomed visitors to HCL, and we appreciate their founding contributions, which continue to benefit the children of New Rochelle. The NRPL Foundation is planning a new donor pathway that honors both the past and invites new supporters to be part of the HCL story. We’ll share updates as plans take shape. For questions or to connect with the Foundation, please email Nina Robertson at info@nrplfoundation.org.

We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait for you to enjoy the new, safer walkway. Thank you for your patience and continued support!
