Volunteers Needed

We need dedicated individuals to help keep the Friends bookstore thriving. We receive approximately 1,000 books a week. They are sorted, priced and brought up for sale. If you are a “reader” and can classify the books by topic (i.e. Sci Fi, cookbook, bio, etc.) come to the Library when the Friends bookstore is open (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm); we will show you how we work and maybe you’ll enjoy being surrounded by wonderful books. An ongoing commitment of 2 hours/week (anytime the bookstore is open) is required.

We also need cashiers to assist in book sales. Shifts are 2 hours in length. All sales are in cash, so cashiers must be comfortable making change for customers.

Please consider donating some time to support your Library. Stop by or call the Friends at (914) 813-3705 to learn how you can get involved.

Donations Welcome!
